I have trained with Andre since he began teaching in Sacramento. Since I began training in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, I have been to a number of competitions and have had some success under his direction. As a blue belt, I have won the U.S. Nationals in the masters heavyweight and open divisions, the U.S. Open in the masters heavyweight division, and the Pan Jiu Jitsu Championships in the masters heavyweight division. Prior to Jiu Jitsu, I was a wrestler for U.C. Davis and earned four varsity letters. I have coached high school and middle school wrestling teams and have been involved with wrestling for over 18 years. When I am not fighting on the mat, I fight for the rights of abused and neglected children as an attorney for Sacramento Child Advocates, Inc. I also have a beautiful wife, Joanna, 3 cats and a son on the way!

I have been a competitive athlete all of my life. In high school I excelled in Baseball and Football, eventually earning a football scholarship to Cal Poly (S.L.O). After college, I began coaching high school sports. I enjoy coaching as much as I enjoy competing. I have been coaching for the last 9 years leading my team to many wins and have never lost my competitive nature. Two years ago, I found Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Andre Glodzinski, and it changed my life. I get to learn something new, stay competitive, and test myself in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu tournaments.

Eliot Kelly

I started training in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu while I was teaching English in Japan. I was fortunate enough to be in a community where many Brazilians lived and quickly became involved with their culture and sports. Although my training took place in Japan, I experienced complete immersion in BJJ training while surrounded by the Brazilian community. Earning my brown belt a few weeks before leaving Japan, I am currently aspiring to earn my black belt while learning and training at Cia Paulista Sacramento under Andre Glodzinski. I wish to teach BJJ technique and skills while emphasizing some of the unique cultural elements I experienced in my training.
Prior to my experiences in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, I wrestled at UC Davis under
Lennie Zalesky and Mark "the Filipino Wrecking Machine" Munoz where I became a two time Pac-10 place winner and Open Freestyle State Champion. I graduated from UC Davis in 2007 with a double major in Japanese and East Asian Studies with a minor in Education.

Rich Salem

My name is Richard "Rich" Salem. I am a 24hr 7days a week power/strength conditioning coach for fighter's and/or anyone who is just trying to better their health and have a over all new amazing body. You can find me at Cia Paulista Jui Jitsu MMA Academy on the corner of 12th and F streets downtown Sacramento. I have been training for about 4yrs both independent and for prestigious studio's such as Fitness Together. I have trained with some of the original Lions Den members as well as some members of the Sunkiss team. I have trained side by side with professional body builders and triathlon competitors. I focus on ones mind, body and heart. Being's that everyone's body is different, I make custom plans including nutrition to tailor fit ones life. I focus on SST (sports specific training) giving my client's the full benefit of the sport that he or she is training for. This way there is no wasted training time. As a fight trainer I emphasize on speed, power and core strength, all which are key to success in my opinion. I like to put you in a uncomfortable training environment and you train in it until your comfort level is suitable then we change to another uncomfortable state. This way your ready for any type of change and nothing is out of your comfort zone. Stay ready so you don't have to get ready.
